Community Outreach course description:
The future of companion animal welfare is more than just sheltering and enforcement. Learn how to make community outreach and pet owner support programming part of your organization. Discover how reaching out to underserved areas and building positive relationships with pet owners can improve your work and increase access to pet resources for everyone. We’ll share ideas and techniques on how to be strategic in your outreach, focus on the areas with the least access to services and engage the community in a positive and effective way. Whether you are an open admission or private shelter or tasked with animal control/services, this workshop applies and will help ensure you serve the community comprehensively.
