Animal Cruelty Investigations in North Carolina

ASPCA grant sponsored course series for 2017 (4 courses occurring throughout NC)

All training classes are free and include lunch. Registration is required.

Course Content:
NC DOJ certified instructors with experience in cruelty investigations in NC will take students through cruelty cases from start to finish. This will include, investigative principles and law application for NC statutes, writing search warrants for specific animal crimes, animals as evidence, and discussion on animal fighting and the link to other major crimes. 


Course Certification: General attendees will receive a certificate of completion for attending the course. Law Enforcement Officers can apply for course credit and a certificate can be presented to the attending officers training division, the course is being taught by instructors that have completed the NC Justice Academy Instructor Training course. 


Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Course Fee: Free (Fee waived course made possible by ASPCA sponsorship)

Lunch: Free catered lunch will be provided on site
