3-Day Behavior Workshop - Institute for Shelter Dogs

​February 22-24 (Friday through Sunday) 2019

We have secured 4 excellent speakers. Most of the speakers are not only veterinarians and experts in their field but they are heavily involved in animal rescue as well. Dr. Penny Jeffrey is the founder of one of the oldest pig sanctuaries here in NC.

Objectives
1.      To understand proper housing, care, and veterinary care of farm animals while at the shelter
2.      To learn how to handle goats, pigs, and horses while at the shelter
3.      To learn basic welfare assessment
4.      Nutrition
5.      To become familiar with restrain techniques
6.      To learn how to screen adopters for farm animals

Participants
The seminar is designed for animal shelters and animal control facilities only.

5-6 hours and will include lunch
